DATASET CREDITS
Real drawings.
Proper credit.
The 108 starter drawings were made by children—not generated by AI.
Source
They come from the Children’s Drawing Explorer published by the Visual Learning Lab at UC San Diego. The source dataset contains drawings made by children ages 2–10 during interactive drawing games at children’s museums.
The difficulty selector uses only documented source ages: Easy uses ages 8–10, Tricky uses ages 4–8 plus approved community art, and Tiny Chaos uses age 2. Each built-in pool contains four examples of nine animals; every challenge draws a fresh board from that larger pool. The source dataset does not include one-year-old drawings, and this project does not collect ages from community submissions.
